“Run unleashed” is a philosophy of running in which on top of performance itself comes the pleasure of getting in touch with the surrounding space. In this spirit, in the film directed by Lorenzo Fonda, Andrew Howe runs a metropolitan path and while he runs, his body and the city mix, merge and join each other. Every corner, every wall, every meter of concrete become his own. The city is a mirror on which is imprinted his image, conveying the idea that he who runs uleashed will never stop.
Andrew Howe (born 12 May 1985) is an Italian athlete who specializes in the long jump. He won this event as well as the 200 metres at the 2004 World Junior Championships. He was successful at senior level at a young age, winning a long jump bronze at the 2006 IAAF World Indoor Championships before becoming the European Champion later that year. In 2007 he become the European Indoor Champion and won the silver medal at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics.
A combination of injuries ruled him out for most of the 2008 and 2009 seasons, but he returned to action in 2010, becoming the Italian champion.
