Simone is a former Crusaders teammate that I met whilst living in Dublin.

Besides training and racing together we developed a good friendship throughout the years. A couple of months ago Simone ended his book „Lo Zen, la Corsa e l’Arte di Vivere con il Cancro” (Zen, Running and the art of living with cancer).

In the book he describes his way out of a cancer sickness and how running drove him all along the way to battle through all the pain. Currently the book is only available in Italian but should be available in English at the end of this year.

What is the best imaginable update you could get after travelling 30 hours to a race?

Definite. The top news is that the race is cancelled – Nice one.

The weather in Santiago is way to bad since a couple of days (That yellow color on the picture is heavy rain…) and so the organization decided to terminate the 63k race on sunday.

Pretty hard luck for me!
